I love ballet! Ballet is my life :) So, of coarse, I have plenty of old pink tights with rips in them! My doll Lizi loves ballet too, but doesn't have much to wear. I decided to combine both of our problems and make her a... WRAP SKIRT!!! Now, you can make one for your doll, too! Here's how:
Supplies:
Lets get started!
First, take out your tights and scissors. Lay them out as flat as possible.
Cut off one of the legs, as close to the waist as possible. Cut off the closed part of the foot.
Open the leg on one side.
Cut open it through the middle.
The "leg" should now look like the picture above.
Simple stitch along the perimeter, hemming it.
Now, your skirt should look like the picture above.
Next, take out your ribbon.
Cut two 18 inch pieces.
Stitch the ends of the pieces to the inside top of the skirt as shown.
Fantastic! Your skirt should now look like the picture above! You are done!
